My Favorite Tall Jeans: Amalli Talli, Sky Dolls, and Joe's

Hey Tall Girl

Let’s talk jeans. Tall jeans. The holy grail of every tall woman’s closet hunt.

I’ve been through the trenches (You know this story) pulling on pairs that barely skim my ankles, sporting hi-waters, and sporting wide legs that look like a circus tent… Sometimes it’s a “don’t look in the mirror and it’s not real” mentality. Over the years, though, I’ve found a few brands that consistently get it right, or at least close enough to make my tall-girl heart happy.

Amalli Talli

Amalli Talli was one of the first brands that made me feel seen as a tall woman. Their jeans are actually designed for us, with two options for longer inseams that hit where they’re supposed to. The cuts cover all your needs (classics and trends, but not to trendy) and they’re built for women who want to wear denim without compromising fit. And here’s the best part, every single time I wear my Amalli Talli jeans, I get compliments. They’re that flattering. Personally, I had to size down and get a 36" instead of 34", however, I bought them quite a few years back, and they have many more options now. I  cannot recommend them enough. (Plus they have great basics, as well as eye-catching pieces).

Sky Dolls

Sky Dolls is a little more of a hidden gem. They have a small but impactful selection, wide leg jeans, sweatpants, athleisure, but are designed for TALL GIRLS! Both my 13 year old and myself love their jeans, and we have both decided to cuff them because they are actually 38” long. She also LOVES their sweats which she ordered in the shorter length. I digress, their jeans are super comfy, and I’ll be honest a mid-rise is a nice change from the current high-rise trend (which I don’t hate, but options are nice). Their styles lean trendy, but still foundation pieces. Not only do my daughter and I both love them, but they are tall-girl specific and that is huge. I will always support other tall girl brands.

Joe’s (honorable mention)

Here’s the thing about Joe’s: they don’t always run long (they have a couple 34” inseams, and their standard is 32”), but when you find the right cut, they work! The “Blake” crop is my current fav, they don’t get wet on the ground during winter and I can still show off my cute boots or sandals. Even though they are short, they have the right proportions to flatter, and they don’t stretch so much that they are falling off by noon. I have seen women who are 5’4” looking amazing in them and I have seen women 6’ tall in Joe’s jeans and they have the same incredible look. Their fabric is soft with just the right stretch, and I appreciate that they make jeans that look grown-up, and elevated enough to dress up or down.

Why This Matters

For me, and probably for you too, jeans are more than just denim. They’re the backbone of a wardrobe. When I find a pair that actually fits my tall frame, it changes how I move through my day. No more constant tugging or making excuses for lengths that don’t work.

Supporting Tall Businesses

What makes Amalli Talli and Sky Dolls even more special is that they’re tall-specific, women-led, and part of a small but mighty circle of brands working to serve our community. Every purchase supports not just great jeans, but also the bigger mission: giving tall women options that make us feel confident, comfortable, and stylish. As a founder myself, I know how much it means when tall women rally around tall-friendly businesses—we’re building something bigger than clothes, we’re building a community.

These three brands; Amalli Talli, Sky Dolls, and Joe’s have earned a place in my closet, even as I keep testing and trying to find the next great tall-girl fit. Because when it comes down to it, every tall woman deserves denim that lets her stand tall, feel confident, and look amazing.

Cheerfully,

Suzi
