Meet the Office Dogs

Hey Tall Girl,

Now that summer’s rolling into the school year and fall’s creeping in, I figured it’s time you meet the real stars of the Alta Reina workspace: Pearl and Boulder, my two very helpful (and extremely unhelpful) office dogs.

Pearl is our 2-year-old Bernedoodle. She’s a full-time ball chaser, part-time cuddle machine, and she never misses a chance to wade into the river. Boulder, our 1-year-old lab mix, is her wrestling buddy and my loyal shadow. He sticks close to me all day and somehow manages to nap like it’s his job.

They tag along on short hikes (White Clouds is a favorite), they terrorize the neighbors with barking and dog park with their wrestling. When I’m inside working on fit adjustments and comparing fabric swatches, they’re usually busy wrestling in the background or passed out at my feet. They’re also my unofficial mental health team, reminding me to get outside for fresh air, stretch my legs, and pretend I’m not talking to myself (I’m talking to them about sleeve length, obviously).

So if you ever wondered what Alta Reina HQ really looks like—it’s a few fabric bolts, some prototypes, and two goofy dogs keeping me company.
