Finding Calm in a Busy December: A Tall-Woman's Note
Share
Hey Tall Girl
I hope your December is giving you at least little pockets of space, ritual, and connection. In my world, this month tends to get a bit frantic. Two adults working from home + two kids about to be home for 14 days with zero routine = a full emotional roller coaster. Our house thrives on outside structure, so two unstructured weeks (plus travel) is… well, a lot.
If your rhythm or routine feels off for the rest of the month, please know you’re not alone. I’m right there with you. I’ve been trying to schedule one small thing each day that feels good for my body or brain, before the kids are officially home and the real chaos begins. And once the weekend hits, we jump straight into hockey tournaments and Nordic races. This weekend I’m driving 3.5–4 hours for hockey, so I’m front-loading my week with movement, creativity, and the things I can only do while I’m home to help me stay grounded.
A quick note of gratitude and logistics:
I’ll be back fulfilling orders on Monday, and the shop will close December 19–January 1. Shipping will resume January 2. As a one-woman team, I can’t ship Adventure Teal base layers when I’m on the road, so if you’ve been thinking about ordering, now is the perfect time. Thank you so much for your support, your patience, and your enthusiasm for this little tall-woman-owned business. Every order truly means the world.
I hope you’re able to find moments of peace and calm before the season fully ramps up.
Cheerfully
Suzi
